“I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you, one for being so efficient with the process but most importantly for the fantastic photos. We will look forward to working with you again in the very near future.”
Suzannah House. Practice Manager. Orme Architecture.
“Simon has been taking pictures of our buildings for a number of years now. He really understands what we need from our images and how our architecture works! That only comes with time and a really good relationship. Oh and it helps to be a great photographer also! Thanks Simon“
Nigel Dyke. Alec French Architects.
This collection represents some of the many commissions I have been given by architects. Looking at them you will be able to see how my professional photography can help promote your work. They show my eye for composition and detail. Waiting for the best light needs patience and time and I regularly check weather forecasts before I set off on a job. People in my images play an important part too. Its not always neccesary but when its possible I like to include them, as even a single figure walking through the frame will give a sense of scale and life.
I like to keep the verticals nice and straight, but then I also might break the rules with an
angled viewpoint, it all depends on the building. For interiors I prefer to work with a buildings available light as
lighting design needs true representation as well. I’m rarely seen without my trusty tripod, another essential tool
for architectural images. After the photography comes the editing, something that takes time and is included in my daily photography rate.
If you like what you see here, please do get in contact when you need a professional photographer. My rates are really not too expensive and theres a lot I can do in even a half days photography.
