An old bridge over the very tidal River Avon in Bristol, UK. Now its use is limited to pedestrians and cyclists. Designed by John Lysaght & Company, when the bridge was opened in 1906, it had two decks, rail tracks on the lower level and road traffic on the upper deck level. Its hard to see now but this bridge swung horizontally from the middle pier, very frequently to allow boats to continue up the river.
