An old bridge over the very tidal River Avon in Bristol, UK. Now its use is limited to pedestrians and cyclists. Designed by John Lysaght & Company, when the bridge was opened in 1906, it had two decks, rail tracks on the lower level and road traffic on the upper deck level. Its hard to see now but this bridge swung horizontally from the middle pier, very frequently to allow boats to continue up the river. This film shot in April 2104 shows the Lakeshore building in Bristol. Regenerated by Urban Splash and the architects Ferguson Mann. Once the headquarters for Imperial Tobacco, now stylish new apartments.

Located in Plymouth, this iconic headquarters building was designed by Sir Nicholas Grimshaw CBE, to reflect Plymouth’s maritime heritage, being in the form of a ship. The building was completed in 1993 and received a Royal Institute Of British Architects Award in 1994. Originally designed as offices and a print facility for a regional newspaper, times have moved on in the that business and the buildings owners are looking for a new user of this still striking example of modern architecture.
